Made from Aden + Anais’s signature muslin, these burp cloths have a snap on one side that converts them to a bib. Parents love that they’re supersoft, absorbent, and have great coverage (you know, so you don’t inadvertently walk around with spit up trailing down your back). One mom wrote, “there’s just something about Aden + Anais products that you can’t help but fall in love with,” and another said “Could not get enough of these.” We agree, on both counts.
The catch: A bit expensive for something that inadvertently is just going to get messy.

Bumkins Waterproof SuperBib
Parents rave about how easy it is to keep the Bumkins bibs clean; one mom wrote, “I can rinse it in the sink, hang dry, and it’s ready to use again by the next meal.” They come in adorable prints and have a pocket at the base to catch what doesn’t make it into your baby’s mouth. They’re also compact, which means you can easily keep one in your diaper bag for meals on the go.
The catch: Parents mentioned their babies could pull them off rather easily which isn’t ideal when trying to keep baby clean.

Dundee Burp Cloths
These simple staples are what most people think of when they hear “burp cloth”: they’re a carryover from when our grandparents and parents were putting a cloth diaper on their shoulder. They’re all white, so you can bleach them if they get really gross, and weeSpring parents say they get even softer over time. And another bonus: post-baby, they make great cleaning rags.
The catch: They do shrink when washed, so over-the-shoulder-coverage isn’t as comprehensive as it could be.
