DONATE YOUR USED BABY CARRIER TO CARRY THE FUTURE
Thousands of refugees, nearly half of which are children, are undertaking treacherous journeys to seek a better, safer life for themselves and their families. Parents can end up walking hundreds of miles, oftentimes with babies or toddlers in their arms, to their asylum destinations. They desperately need a safer, more comfortable way to carry their children to safety.
Founded by a mom in California, Carry the Future seeks to provide relief by giving soft-structured baby carriers (think Ergo, Baby Bjorn, or Mei Teis) to refugee families with babies and toddlers while on their journey to asylum. They hand-deliver the carriers on the beaches of Greece, fit moms and dads (or grandparents or older siblings) in a matter of minutes, and instruct them on proper use to ensure the safety for the baby and the longevity of the carrier.
So, before sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner, root out your old carrier or the one your baby never loved, and tomorrow, mail it Carry the Future. Don’t have a carrier to donate?
