weeLove: A New Way to Hold Your Baby
More Than a Baby Blanket
SNUG AS A BUG IN A GODEE
From swaddling to shushing, attempting to recreate the cozy world of the womb is like a full time job for new parents. The Godee is one of our favorite ways to help newborns feel safe, snug, and secure.
Derived from the traditional Indian word “godhi” which means “in your lap,” this versatile wrap surrounds your baby with comfort. Founded by three moms of South Asian heritage, the design is based on ancient Indian traditions shared by their parents and grandparents. You can use the Godee to hold, pass, nurse, and even change your baby. It’s particularly useful when you’ve got a flood of visitors that all want to the hold your little one. The all-encompassing support keeps him safe and snug while he’s passed around and helps minimize the spread of germs. Every Godee is lovingly handcrafted by a small group of women in Delhi, using super soft cotton and organic dye.
While we all rely on new gadgets and gear to solve baby mysteries, sometimes the best tricks come from tried and true family traditions.
