Smart Sippy Cups

A ONE SIZE FITS ALL SOLUTION

We love inventions that make things simple. And this one is particularly genius…

SipSnap is a spill-proof cup lid that’s molded with elastic silicone to provide an airtight seal over any cup without handles. So rather than devoting an entire wing of your kitchen to sippy cup storage, you can use the glasses you already have to help your tot transition from a bottle to a cup.

Created by a mom and mom-to-be, they truly thought of everything to take sippy cups to a new level. We love the lid colors, on-the-go carry cases, and easy stacking (they barely take up any space in your cup cabinet). Available in TOT and KID versions, SipSnaps contain no extra parts, are dishwasher safe, and great to bring to restaurants and on vacation. One of the coolest features is a roll-stop bumper that prevents a toppled over cup from rolling off the table and onto the floor. Plus, they’re chew-resistant. (See, we told you they thought of everything.)

Parenting isn’t easy. But SipSnap is proof that at least one thing related to life with a toddler can be flexible.

Do they have BPA or phthalates? What type of plastic are they? (We like to know what our kids will be putting in their mouth. . .) How much do they cost?

    • Sarah Nau says:

Hi there! It’s always good to know what’s going in their mouths! Sip Snap lids are BPA-, phthalate-, and latex-free. They are made from the best quality silicone available and pass the most stringent of food safety testing standards. Sets of three lids (tot-size or kid-size) and a carrying case retail for $21.

  10. It turns out these are part of a whole new generation of sippy lids that transform regular cups into sippy cups (what I call sippy cups 2.0). More on that, and a link to the helpful piece above, here: http://hintmama.com/2014/06/30/todays-hint-sippy-cups-2-0-100-silikids-giveaway/

How easy can the kids pull it off

    • Sarah Nau says:

They fit quite snugly on most cups and glasses–we’ve never had an issue with our little ones prying the lids off.

  15. caitlin says:

Where can these be purchased? The campaign on kickstarter has ended and doesnt give the option to “preorder” anymore.

[…] awesome are these smart sippy cups. Hello, like genious. You could take these anywhere and never have to worry about a mess again. […]

[…] To be sure, the new top designs won’t necessarily work with every cup design out there. Silikids, for instance, says its Siliskin Top will work with most standard, straight-sided glass, plastic or metal cups with a diameter of 2 to 2.5 inches (and it also works with Siliskin glass and sippy cups). Meanwhile, the SipSnap lids will work on any cup that doesn’t have handles, as WeeSpring’s WeeLove blog noted back in April. […]
